Eleonoras Poleblade, to my experience, has the main issue of dealing rather little damage and lacking hyperarmour on the weapon art, especially considering the decently high stat investment it requires to use. The Twinblade moveset is decent enough, but it does not offset some of the drawbacks. Comparing a lot of weapons to bloodhounds fang has the same effect. Fang is simply a solid weapon the whole game through, with good poise damage, a unique and very good art of war, and does all physical so it's always at least somewhat effective. Elenoras is a blast to use though, and if you learn it's spacing it can also be very effective.
Another advantage of the Nagakiba is that you can infuse it with bleed to get a pretty high bleed buildup and an arcane scaling, and also any ash of war of your choice. I dual wield it with a Blood Godskin Peeler (111 bleed). With Rotten Winged Sword Insignia and Lord of Blood's Exultation it seems to do pretty well. Not a PVP weapon.The strength of Eleonora pole blade is the ash of war and base bleed/fire damage. Godskin peeler is excellent but my favourite is Knight twinblade because it has great reach and scales with strength. Also blackflame tornado can be insane on twinblade once you find it.
